In this scenario, Web Server, AVEVA Workflow Management Server, and the Database Server are all installed on different machines. This scenario is recommended for a Production environment.

Advantages

  • It is possible to secure AVEVA Workflow Management Databases behind a firewall
  • Better performance is obtained from the database-intensive AVEVA Workflow Management Solution by hosting the Databases on a different machine
  • High CPU utilization due to load on Web applications does not affect the performance of Workflow Management Workflow Engine

Disadvantages

  • Load Balancing is not possible
  • Scale out of Workflow Management Workflow Engine service is not possible
