Topic 8.2.1: Operation & Display
- Operation
- The Batch Display is the batch server application used as an operator interface with the Batch Manager.
- The Batch Manager is responsible for managing the execution of the recipe.
- The Batch Display provides information, instructions, and statuses of all of the batches running in the system.
- This includes the ability to monitor the execution of the procedure, enter comments, enter parameter values, acknowledge the start or completion of phases, review phase interlocks, display and execute instructions, and answer questions pertaining to the batch.
- The batch execution information is accessible to external applications using the Batch ActiveX objects and the InBatch Stateless API.
- Batch Display
- The Batch Manager must be running in order to open the Batch Display dialog box.
- Multiple Batch Displays may run at the same time. However, this requires configuring multiple Batch Display instances in the Environment Editor.
- When the Batch Display is run, the Batch Display dialog box opens. Batches may now be monitored and manipulated.
- Only one batch can be viewed in a Batch Display dialog box. System functions are accessed from the File menu and Batch Display options can be accessed using the other menus.
