Linked server is used to link remote server to our server and we can access the databases of that linked servers.

There are several steps to follow:-

First go to Object Explorer->Server Object->Linked Server.

Right click on Linked Server and select new then Linked Server.

Now fill The server name and Server Type then go to security.

In this se create the local login. and click on ok and Server will be linked.

Now you can see the linked server from object explorer
