Why AIMS is important?

AIMS is important for below reasons.

  • Alarm Management: On any given day there can be possibility that operator is getting numbers of alarms at a time. In that situation it is impossible for an operator to acknowledge all the alarms. There is possibility that an operator might miss some critical alarms which can result in plant shut down or accident. For these type of situation we need one system which can differentiate critical & important alarms.
  • Reporting: AIMS can generate various types of reports as per user requirement which can be very helpful during troubleshooting or auditing.
