Providing the Next Generation of Device Integration
Wonderware Operations Integration (OI) Servers are a part of Schneider Electric Software’s Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity strategy. The inherent architecture of OI Servers allows for seamless integration of a growing number of devices. OI Servers thrive in Smart Cities and geographically distributed industries by integrating disparate systems on a global scale. The broader connectivity offering provides greater value to customers by enabling a more connected enterprise.
What’s NEW
- Auto-Build support for ABCIP OI Server
- Support for OPC-UA and MQTT communication protocols
- Site-based licensing for centralized license management
- Free 32-tag small application support
- Enhanced and updated Operations Integration (OI) Core G-1.2 to support new security functionality for servers that enable SQL connectivity
- Backward compatibility of the OI Core – all existing OI Servers can run with the OI Core G-1.2
- Legacy DAServers converted to OI Servers - InTouch Machine Edition OI Server (OI ITME G-1.2) and OI OMRONFINS G-1.2 replace the legacy DAServers
- Continuously growing driver suite that includes OI ADPRO G-1.2, OI TI500 G-1.2, OI SNMP G-1.2, OI OMRONFINS G-1.2 and Wonderware OI ITME G-1.2.*
Key Benefits:
- Broader connectivity spectrum
- Enables seamless integration between InTouch, System Platform and PLCs
- Increased throughput
- Improved scalability and reduced application costs
- Support for multiple OI Server versions on a single node
- Elimination of single points of failure
- High availability for greater communication uptime, reduced downtime
- Single node side-by-side compatibility
Licensing:
Communication drivers are licensed in a single computer node.
Licensing is divided into different levels of functionality (Unlicensed, Standard, an Professional)
Unlicensed – the driver does not attempt to acquire a license if:
- For a specific protocol, only one instance of a driver is used
- Up to 32 tags are registered for the drive
- For a specific protocol, only one instance of a driver is used
- More than 32 tags are registered for the driver
Professional – the driver requires a professional license if:
- Multi-Instance - For a specific protocol, enables configuring (cloning) and running multiple cloned instances of a driver
- Multi-Version – The driver runs concurrently with older versions of legacy drivers (DAServers/Di Objects)
- Auto-Build – Allows to create Application Server projects automatically from PLC program structures (see ABCIP, SIDirect)
Note: OI Gateway has exceptions.
